Specimen
weight: 53.9046 grams
This specimen is cut from an
ASU collection piece.
This Pallasite was found
in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1931. Three masses were found with
a total known weight of 67 kilograms. Nininger bought the masses
from the farmer who found them. This Pallasite is known for
small crystals, very rounded, similar to the Thiel Mountains,
Antarctica meteorite. Springwater is quite difficult to acquire,
and is very expensive. The main mass resides in the Museum of
Natural History in London.
