This beautiful historic meteorite fell near Donguz, Saratov Province, Russia on september 6, 1918 at 3:00 pm. Several stones fell with a total known weight of 328 kilograms. Note the very thick fusion crust (~2mm)and large chondrules, both of which Saratov is well known for.
