TALAMPAYA

This beautiful Eucrite fell in Argentina in 1995. The fall caused a sonic boom which frightened a mountain climber in the Andes. He recovered the Talampaya meteorite which was only a single complete stone weighing a mere 1,421 grams! This is a beautiful fall with a low known weight. The fusion crust is a beautiful rich glossy black. There is very little of this meteorite available, most was exchanged with museums.
