SARATOV

Stone, L4 chondrite. This meteorite fell in Saratov Province, Russia on September 6, 1918.

Several stones fell with a total known weight of 328 kilograms. Saratov is well known for the large chondrules that seperate easily from the matrix. These fragments are very nice and fresh.
