DONG UJIMQIN QI

Type: Mesosiderite    Fell: September 7, 1995   TKW: ~129 kilos

This fascinating mesosiderite fell on September 7, 1995 at 13:35 hours Nei Mongol Zizhiqu, Inner Mongolia, China. On a cloudless day, people heard a large thundering sound and saw a black smoke trail. Three masses weighing 88.2kg, 38kg, 2.6kg fell in a field. All pieces were confiscated by the Chinese and all is in the Academy of Sciences in Beijing. This meteorite has never been in private hands until I got some last year. I was able to get every piece from the farmer where the meteorite fell.

This is it, there is no more to get, it is impossible to get any from the museum in Beijing.

This meteorite is beautiful, very metal-rich, very nice large green crystals, and some black crystals that I have never seen before.
