| This photo shows the
amazing etch of this new pallasite. What is unique is that this piece
shows small crystals, almost like
shards of glass, as
opposed to the more common very large golden crystals on most pieces of
this meteorite. The etch is
clearly a finest
octahedrite pattern, extremely sharp Widmanstatten lines make this one a
beautiful meteorite.

I found this
specimen at around 10:00 pm while searching with the metal-detector
pulled behind the truck. You can clearly see the sandblasted surface
and the large olivine crystals, the largest of which measures 40 mm
long!

metal and sections of olivine crystals.
