STANNERN

Eucrite, calcium-rich. This meteorite fell on Iglau, Czech Republic on May 22, 1808 at 6:00 am.

A large shower of stones fell, estimated in the hundreds, but only 66 are reported to have been recovered with a total known weight of 52 kilos. Stannern is very difficult to acquire from the museums. This meteorite is one of the most historic falls in existence.
