NWA 6279

Iron, coarsest octahedrite (IIAB).

A single mass of this meteorite was found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco in 2009. It was a meteorite weighing 11,445 grams. It has nice large crystals all with nice Neumann lines, triolite and schreibersite inclusions.

I had about 2 kilograms cut off the main mass which I own. These are nice example of a coarsest octahedrite.
