Lancé

This meteorite fell in Vendome, Loir-et-Cher, France on July 23, 1872 at 17:20 hours. A shower of six stones fell, weighing a total of 51.7 kilograms. Lance is a very rare CO3.4 Carbonaceous chondrite. Virtually all of this meteorite is locked in European museum collections. I got these pieces from a European dealer who exchanged it from the Vienna Museum of Natural History Museum. They are all wire-saw cut, 2 mm thick.
