Caddo County

This silicated iron was found in Caddo County, Oklahoma in 1987. It is classified as an Iron (IAB) with silicate inclusions.

A single piece of ~18 kilograms was found during farmwork. Caddo County is a beautiful iron, with very nice etch pattern and colorful silicates scattered throughout the meteorite. The vast majority of this meteorite was sold to museums around the world, and very little is in private hands.
